What is Negotiate Like a Woman?
It’s a global research project exploring how women navigate negotiation in work, money, relationships, and daily life. Most negotiation books and frameworks were written by men, for men, often overlooking the realities women face when asking for more, setting boundaries, or challenging power. We’re doing this project to pave a new path: one where women can negotiate like women, not like men in disguise. By documenting real stories and strategies from around the world, we want to help women make the most of their unique position, not suppress it.

Who are you interviewing?
We’re speaking to women from all backgrounds and geographies, as long as they have meaningful experience with negotiation. Some are founders or sales leaders who negotiate million-euro deals. Others are freelancers, activists, or team leads navigating power daily. If you have an honest story or insight to share, we want to hear it.

What will you do with the research?
We plan to publish selected stories (with permission) on our blog, record a podcast, create anonymized case studies, and produce a white paper, possibly even a book. Alongside these stories, we’re integrating academic research, behavioral science, and psychological insights to build a more complete picture of how women negotiate, and how gender, perception, and context shape outcomes. The goal is to create a living archive of negotiation as women actually experience it.

Who’s behind the project?
Negotiate Like a Woman is led by a collective of women - founders, executives, strategists, and creatives who have spent years navigating high-stakes negotiations in business, fundraising, consulting, and life. What unites us is a shared belief: that women shouldn’t have to imitate men to be taken seriously, to lead, or to win. We’re building this project not as experts with all the answers, but as practitioners and researchers who want to document the truth, and pave the way for others. The core team is currently based in Europe and the UK, with contributors and interviewees from across the globe.
